Specialist cancer care

Dr Polychronis is the oncologist in The Chest Clinic’s wider specialist team. He specialises in thoracic and gastrointestinal cancers, including lung cancer and mesothelioma. His clinical interests include chemotherapy, biological treatments and immunotherapy.

 

Training and experience

He qualified at the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1995 and completed a PhD at Imperial College London in 2007. He trained in medical oncology on the pan-Thames rotation and was appointed a consultant medical oncologist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in 2008. He is also involved in clinical trials of cancer treatments.
