Dr Andrew Barlow qualified from the University of Sheffield Medical School in 1996 with an Honours degree in Medicine after completing a three year BSc Hons degree in Pharmacology at Manchester University.

In 2005 he was awarded a Masters (in Respiratory Medicine) from Imperial College London.

Dr Barlow’s NHS practice is based at Watford General Hospital (Respiratory and General Internal Medicine).

He is the Divisional Director for Women's and Children's Health at Watford General Hospital having previously been the Clinical Director for Medicine. He runs and chairs the faculty of the West Herts EBUS course- training doctors from around the country in complex Endobronchial ultrasound.

He has a special Interest in:

Asthma & airways disease

Chronic cough

EBUS

Interventional bronchoscopy

Lung cancer (including interventional diagnostic techniques: transbronchial needle aspiration)

Pleural disease

Respiratory allergy

Respiratory infection

Sleep medicine

Thoracic ultrasound
